Hedging: "I'm building this business but keeping my full-time job just in case." Active maintenance. Consuming energy daily. Running in parallel.

The Test: Is the alternative consuming resources right now? If yes, you're hedging. If it's a defined response to a specific future event, you're contingency planning.

Close the door: Direct all available resources—time, energy, attention, money—toward the decision you already made. Not toward distributing them between the decision and its reversal.
